CMJ was founded in London by a Jewish believer in 1809 as a mission to reach Jewish people with the love of God and their Messiah Jesus (Yeshua). CMJ's purpose  has been to take the gospel to Jewish people everywhere in a sensitive and caring way. CMJ trains the church to see Jesus in his Second Temple setting, thus understanding the Bible more clearly. The mission encourages Christians to build loving relations with Jewish friends and stand against Jew-hatred wherever it is found.
